HFC BANK SUPPORTS GHANA POLICE

HFC Bank has donated a number of office chairs and tables to the Ghana Police Service to boost its work.

The donation forms part of activities marking the bank’s 20th anniversary celebrations as well as its corporate social responsibility.

Presenting the furniture at separate ceremonies to the Cantonments District Police Station and the Ministries Police Station, Charles Martinson, General Manager of Banking Operations, said the donation was aimed at enhancing the operations of the Police Service for the ultimate benefit of the communities they serve.

On their part, the District Commander of Cantonments Police Station, DSP Alex Kumantani, and the Commander in Charge of the Ministries Police Station, ASP Albert Fii Ochil thanked HFC Bank for the support and expressed the hope that the relationship between the two institutions will be strengthened.

HFC Bank has been making annual donations of office equipment to the Ghana Police.

In a separate event, HFC Bank’s football team, Ebankese FC, has gracefully hosted and beat their opponents from other corporate institutions to claim the magnificent trophy.

Dubbed 20th Anniversary Invitational Soccer Tournament, the match was the starter for activities marking HFC Bank’s 20th Anniversary celebrations.

In a short address just before kick-off, Asare Akuffo, Managing Director of HFC Bank, said the Bank was happy to host the teams “Even as competitors we found grounds to collaborate”, he stated adding that he believed fair play would prevail.

Eight organisations namely, Ecobank, Amalbank, Zenith Bank, Cal Bank, TV3, TV Africa, Joy FM, and the host HFC Bank, participated in the tournament. After 14 matches, Ebankese FC won 5-4 on penalty shootout against TV3 to retain the trophy.

EB-ACCION DISBURSES US$15 MILLION

Amantin & Kasei Community Bank posts impressive growth, with over GH¢1m profit

 Amantin and Kasei Community Bank, at Amantin in the Bono East Region has posted impressive growth in all the performance indicators during 2022 financial year under review. The bank recorded profit after tax of GH¢1,055,662, representing 35.66% more over the 2021 figure of GH¢778.151. This achievement stemmed out of 49.24% gross income growth from GH¢8,143,526 to GH¢12,153,537. Total deposits of the bank went up by 36.20%, changing from GH¢50,959,848 in 2021 to GH¢69,405,591 in 2022. The bank increased loans and advances by 22.15% from GH¢14,128,017 to GH¢17,257,614. Total assets showed an appreciation of 29.32%, amounting to GH¢77,918,288 as against GH¢60,250,693 in the previous year. On the other hand, the bank posted a marginal increase in short term investments portfolio from GH¢24,439,761 to GH¢26,585,698, indicating 8.78% change.
