Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai MP wins Ghana Most Respected CEO Award

 


Obeng-Boateng, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Approachers Ghana Limited, who won the coveted award for Ghana Most Respected CEO 2022, has been the recipient of many awards in Ghana.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region, Honorable Alfred Obeng-Boateng, has been inducted into the hall of fame of the Ghana Industry Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) Awards as the local entrepreneur and business personality who has been contributed immensely to the development and growth of business and economic in the country.

The 2022 edition of the event which was held on Friday November 18, 2022 at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra has been organised by the Business Executive Media Group, the communications and events management company with its head office situated in Accra.

Obeng-Boateng, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Approachers Ghana Limited, who won the coveted award for Ghana Most Respected CEO 2022, has been the recipient of many awards in Ghana.

Obeng-Boateng who is also the author of the famous Approachers Series books has disclosed that he has become a Ghanaian celebrated entrepreneur or a successful businessman as the result of the massive production of brochures series of his company before he went into the full-time politics.

The 2022 Ghana Industry CEOs Awards is the fifth of an annual awards scheme aimed at identifying and publicly recognizing the most outstanding chief executives in corporate Ghana across a wide range of sectors.

Eligible awardees include CEOs of both private and public sector corporations and institutions.

Awardees were selected by the Ghanaian public who nominated the CEOS for shortlisting, following verification of the nominations; and subsequently voted for the shortlisted nominees with those receiving the highest votes in each sector category being declared the winners by the scheme's official Validation partners. Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com after receiving his award, the visibly joyful former Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Chief Executive Officer expressed gratitude to the organisers of the awards and indicated that, the award he received is a manifestation that his works are being recognized by the people in the country.

He noted that "I am very happy and humbled of the recognition given to me tonight at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra and that these are things that motivate us that whatever things you are doing, it means that people are watching you. "... so when eventually you are giving such recognition in the public, then it tells you that you are on the right path, therefore you are encouraged and motivated to do more. "Precisely, my constituents as usual I have been telling them that being in politics or being in civil servant, your private life which is about hard work, honesty and sincerity. And that I must tell them today that these credentials were what have ended me of winning this business development award tonight with these prominent personalities in business and economic industry," the MP stated.

Additionally, he stressed that "if I didn't not work hard as MP as well as entrepreneur I would not be honoured. If it is because I am dealings with people well in their endeavours, there are no ways such a national body would recognize me to award me in the presence of these high profile personalities."

He added that since he is invited to be awarded of his outstanding contribution to the business and economic development of this country, this clearly shows that the organisers have recognized his efforts of contributing greatly to the business and economic growth and development as well as creating jobs for teeming youths in the country through the massive productions of brochures.

The MP used the occasion to advise the people in the country, particularly those living in his constituency that they must be mindful that everything you get in this world is through the
hard working, honesty and sincerity."

And once as their Member of Parliament and the way the organisers of the awards had recognized me, I know that if you (referring his constituents) also follow my foot step, I am sure in no time most of my you would also be gaining same recognition," he advised.

When asked whether he does some private works aside being an MP,

Honourable Boateng responded in affirmative. He told the journalists that this award was given by the organiser in virtue of the fact that he is the CEO of Approachers Ghana Limited who are publishers of brochures in series.

He pointed that his company has been existence for the two or more decades,saying that most of the students in this country generally knowns what his products have entailed.

He indicated that they are publishers of brochure series which has been in the system for the past two and half decades.

He pointed out that most students generally knowns what his products from his private company entailed.

According to Obeng-Boateng, their works have structured from units, saying that after winning this award, they are going to concertante on it.

He asserted that he has been working in private sector as an entrepreneur briefly before getting into the public sector and now he is into full time politics as the Member of Parliament for Bibiani- Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency.

Obeng-Boateng pointed out he still have times to have oversight management of his company which is headquartered in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The MP pointed that out the products of the company are sold in the nationwide because of their quality standards and affordable.

EB-ACCION DISBURSES US$15 MILLION

Amantin & Kasei Community Bank posts impressive growth, with over GH¢1m profit

 Amantin and Kasei Community Bank, at Amantin in the Bono East Region has posted impressive growth in all the performance indicators during 2022 financial year under review. The bank recorded profit after tax of GH¢1,055,662, representing 35.66% more over the 2021 figure of GH¢778.151. This achievement stemmed out of 49.24% gross income growth from GH¢8,143,526 to GH¢12,153,537. Total deposits of the bank went up by 36.20%, changing from GH¢50,959,848 in 2021 to GH¢69,405,591 in 2022. The bank increased loans and advances by 22.15% from GH¢14,128,017 to GH¢17,257,614. Total assets showed an appreciation of 29.32%, amounting to GH¢77,918,288 as against GH¢60,250,693 in the previous year. On the other hand, the bank posted a marginal increase in short term investments portfolio from GH¢24,439,761 to GH¢26,585,698, indicating 8.78% change.
