FIRST ATLANTIC BANK SUPPORTS OTUMFUO’s 15th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS


First Atlantic Bank Limited has made a donation towards the 15th anniversary celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace.

Ben Barth, a member of the Bank’s Board of Directors led a delegation made up of the MD/CEO, Gabriel Edgal, Daniel Wilson Addo, Executive Director and other senior Staff from the bank to officially congratulate Otumfuo on the milestone.

Ben Barth on behalf of the Board Chairperson used the opportunity to formally inform Otumfuo of the bank’s rebranding and re-launch which according to him is the first of efforts by the Board and Management of First Atlantic Bank to re-invent a bank that is tuned to the discipline of global best practices and the passion of delivering a refreshingly different banking experience for every one that honours us with their business. “Re- launching the bank in Kumasi is to demonstrate our faith and commitment to the industrious, hardworking and illustrious people of Asanteman”. He added.

Edgal expressed the bank’s appreciation to Otumfuo for his immense support throughout the over 15 years the bank has been in Kumasi while mentioning that there was no better place to re-launch than Kumasi which is the heart of business in Ghana. The MD/CEO assured Otumfuo of First Atlantic Bank’s preparedness to support businesses in Kumasi especially with distributor finance, non-traditional exports, payments and collections as well as e-banking solutions.” We will help facilitate the movement of goods and services from Kumasi across the sub-region and beyond and share with the city First Atlantic Bank’s Purple Experience which is a distinctly different and unparalleled customer service experience driven by a passionate workforce and process efficiency to create value for our customers.” He asserted.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in his remarks challenged the bank to aggressively pursue a policy of financial inclusion so as to bring banking to the door steps of the ordinary Ghanaian. “There are still so many people and so much money outside of the formal banking sector and it is time banks adopted strategies that will give assurance to the people who still have reservations about banks. Let all our people no matter their status feel welcomed and appreciated anytime they interact with you” Otumfuo counselled.
First Atlantic Bank is a full-scale commercial bank with about 20 years experience in the Ghanaian market. Originally founded as a merchant bank, First Atlantic Bank has won several awards recognizing its excelling leadership in customer care, trade finance and corporate banking.

EB-ACCION DISBURSES US$15 MILLION

By Fred SARPONG Ecobank-Accion (EB-Accion), a partnership between Ecobank Ghana Limited and Accion International has disbursed amount to the tune of $15 million to over 36,000 borrowers in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in the country, since the institution was set up barely six months ago. Amantin & Kasei Community Bank posts impressive growth, with over GH¢1m profit

 Amantin and Kasei Community Bank, at Amantin in the Bono East Region has posted impressive growth in all the performance indicators during 2022 financial year under review. The bank recorded profit after tax of GH¢1,055,662, representing 35.66% more over the 2021 figure of GH¢778.151. This achievement stemmed out of 49.24% gross income growth from GH¢8,143,526 to GH¢12,153,537. Total deposits of the bank went up by 36.20%, changing from GH¢50,959,848 in 2021 to GH¢69,405,591 in 2022. The bank increased loans and advances by 22.15% from GH¢14,128,017 to GH¢17,257,614. Total assets showed an appreciation of 29.32%, amounting to GH¢77,918,288 as against GH¢60,250,693 in the previous year. On the other hand, the bank posted a marginal increase in short term investments portfolio from GH¢24,439,761 to GH¢26,585,698, indicating 8.78% change.
