A new satellite uplink earth television station, which telecasts Christian news, documentaries and movies 24 hours everyday, from Ghana across the African continent, has been launched.
Crown Royal TV and Radio Network, which started transmission on October 30, 2008, comes with channels ranging from 30 to 300 which can be accessed a customized decoder.
Speaking to BusinessWeek after its inauguration in Accra last week, E. Binney, CEO of Crown Royal TV, noted that so far £2 million has been sunk into the venture which targets the whole of the African continent and beyond.
“As part of my effort to ensure that Ghanaians witness a total transformation in the whole TV/radio concept, I have also established a multimedia university college, where people who are into filmmaking, satellite solutions, internet and web solutions as well as graphic designing and animation, journalists would be trained,” Binney concluded.
