HFC bank has launched its third homesave promotion dubbed ‘win three houses in 180 days’ to enable its customers own houses. In the first and second promotions there was only one semi-detached house for each promotion compared to the current one.
The homesave account is a product of the bank that combines investment and savings features into one. It is designed for people who desire to own homes within the shortest possible time at the most affordable and convenient time. The account’s interest rate is higher than the normal savings account.
The managing director of HFC, Asare Akuffo, who launched the promotion, observed that its purpose was geared towards enhancing the savings culture in the country. Adding, “At HFC, we continue to be innovative and creative in our mission to create wealth and a better life for our customers.
"The promotion gives opportunity to all segments of the customer and the public to get involved and reap the benefits of winning a house, save towards owning a home or have a life time saving for meeting future financial obligations" he added.
Both new and existing customers are to deposit a minimum of GHc100 into either HFC Homesave account, Life Starter account or the Student Plus account to qualify for a coupon. The deposits must be kept in the account untouched for six months starting from September this year to February 2011.
Customers stand the chance of winning three-two bedroom houses as first, second and third prizes plus laptops, home theatres among others as consolation prizes.
HFC Bank has championed the provision of home ownership in Ghana for the past two decades. Since its establishment HFC Bank has helped over 7,000 people to own their homes.
In a separate development, Tullow Oil beat Ebankese FC of HFC Bank by a lone goal in a friendly football match last week at the Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp.
Edmund Agyemang scored the only goal of the match on the half-hour mark to hand his side a famous victory over their counterparts from the financial sector.
Tullow Oil started very well and their early dominance yielded dividends when Agyemang fired them into the lead with a spectacular strike from close range.
With defeat staring, Ebankese FC players organized themselves and took charge of the game with Captain Bennett Abban and Ernest Mensah leading their raids into their opponents.
The match, at the invitation of Tullow Oil, was to encourage friendship and unity amongst staff of the two companies. It also served as a platform to develop business relationship between the two institutions.
