The MTN Heroes of Change Season 7 grand finale has recognized two outstanding individuals/groups for their impactful work in Ghana. Buzstop Boys, a youth-based voluntary group, and Nana Tea, a social influencer, have been honored with the MTN Digital Hero Award.
They both received GH₵30,000 and plaques as recognition for their outstanding contributions.
The Buzstop Boys, founded by Heneba Kwadwo Sarfo, a civil engineer, have been making waves in Ghana's sanitation movement. With their compelling social media presence, they have been able to rally support and raise awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean.

As Sarfo noted, "Service to mankind is service to God." The group's mission goes beyond just cleaning streets; it's about changing mindsets and promoting a sense of responsibility among citizens.
Nana Tea: Telling Human-Centered Stories
Nana Tea, known off-screen as James Annor Tetteh, has become a household name in Ghana's social media space for using his platform to tell human-centered stories, mobilize aid for people in need, and bring national attention to overlooked social issues.

As he expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for the honor, he pledged to continue using his platform for social good, saying, "This recognition is not just for me—it’s for everyone who believes in kindness, community, and the power of using your voice to help others."
MTN introduced the "Digital Hero" category in this year's Heroes of Change initiative to recognize and celebrate individuals who are leveraging social media and digital platforms to drive meaningful change in their communities. This move aligns with the company's strategic focus on leading digital solutions for progress in Africa and Ghana.
By introducing this category, MTN aims to empower digital changemakers by encouraging individuals to utilize digital platforms for social good, promoting positive change and community development. As well as uncover new and innovative approaches to addressing societal challenges, highlighting the impact of digital advocacy.
