Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana EXIMBANK, Sylvester Mensah, has praised the just-ended Channel One TV AgriFair, describing it as a powerful and practical platform for empowering small businesses, startups, and agricultural innovators.
Speaking to Eno Safo on Channel One Newsroom, Mr. Mensah shared his excitement about the overwhelming response from both vendors and patrons, highlighting that many exhibitors had sold out their products and were already asking about future editions of the event.
I’m so impressed by the fact that visitors are asking for more, and the vendors are saying they’ve sold more than expected. Some have even run out of stock and are planning to restock. There’s already interest in when the next exhibition will be held,” he said.
While acknowledging that several exhibitions have been organised this year, Mr. Mensah emphasised that the Channel One AgriFair stood out because it delivered real business value for participants.
“On the face of it, it may seem like we’ve had many exhibitions this year. But to the vendors and exhibitors, this event has offered a rare and valuable opportunity to market and sell their produce,” he explained.
He also extended commendation to Citi FM, Channel One TV, and their Managing Director, Samuel Atta-Mensah, for the vision and execution behind the AgriFair, crediting their leadership for the event’s success.
It is through his leadership that this impactful programme has taken place,” he added.
Mensah further reiterated Ghana EXIMBANK’s commitment to supporting such initiatives that align with its mandate to promote local enterprise.
At EXIMBANK, we’re always ready to support and sponsor initiatives like this. They fall right within our mandate to promote local businesses. So any time Citi FM and Channel One TV have an idea, involve us from the planning stage—we’ll be there to support and bring in more partners to make it a success.”
The Channel One AgriFair has been widely hailed as a standout event in Ghana’s agribusiness calendar, creating direct market linkages for young entrepreneurs and offering a vibrant showcase of innovation across the agricultural value chain.
