The MTN Foundation, as part of its annual 21 Days of Yellow Care activities, has embarked digital health and insurance education outreach event to educate people on insurance.
The event, held at Zongo Junction and Madina markets on Thursday June 19, 2025, aims to promote health and well-being in communities, especially in underserved areas.
During the event, MTN staff introduced Mcare, a digital tele-medicine product that provides access to healthcare services. As part of the education, patrons were offered a month's free subscription to Mcare.

David Narh, Manager Digital Growth, explained that the initiative is part of MTN's efforts to bridge the gap in healthcare access and provide digital health services to those who need it most. He added that the outreach is not only happening in Madina, but other places including East Legon have also benefited from the education.
We're not only engaging in the outreach here in Madina but have gone to other places, including East Legon. Tomorrow, we'll be going to Kasoa, and there are other activities going on across the country, including construction projects in the Northeast, Ashanti region, and Northern region."
The program's impact is expected to be significant, with many people benefiting from the digital health services. By offering Mcare, MTN is promoting health and well-being in communities, especially in areas where access to healthcare is limited.
MTN Mcare benefits include convenient access to healthcare services, such as video consultations, e-prescriptions, and medication delivery, along with access to a health information search engine and a chatbot. It also provides access to over 500 health providers and offers health insurance packages.
