Kusuum Home Defies The Mundane. They're Not Selling Wallpaper. They're Archiving Culture

The launch of Kusuum Home’s Ghana chapter in East Legon wasn’t just an event; it was a necessary statement. In a world drowning in generic interiors, Kusuum arrived with a simple promise: to make our walls tell our stories. This is about elevating tradition into something essential and modern.

The evening of 25 September 2025 began not with a ribbon-cutting, but with a spiritual declaration, a moment of prayer led by Bishop Lorraine Rejoice Laryea that grounded the entire enterprise. It was immediately followed by the uncompromising rhythm of a Kpanlogo drumming troupe. This wasn't background music. It was the brand’s DNA, played loud.

The Idea is the Product
Founder and Creative Director Muriel Sackey-Quaye articulated the vision that is the only brief that matters: "Tonight is more than just the unveiling of a brand, it is the unveiling of a vision. A vision born out of a simple, yet powerful belief: that our walls can tell our stories.” She wasn't talking about décor. She was talking about legacy.

Kusuum isn't interested in complexity for its own sake. Their Peel & Stick wallpaper is a sustainable, practical solution that strips away the friction of installation, leaving only the powerful art. Innovation must serve the idea.

The exhibition showcased what happens when that idea is put to work. Collections like Cape Coast, Toile d’Aburi, and Daavi, alongside the Abstract, Geometric, and Floral series Tutu, Ife, and Oyoko are not patterns; they are culturally resonant narratives and are available in seven (7) classic colours to suit different and diverse preferences.

Partner/Director of Brand and Marketing, Mom@4ty Agency, Daniel Katchy helped navigate the audience through these visual archives, guiding the story with culturally relevant and historical contexts that informed the wallpaper creations.

The air was alive with traditional dancers and musicians. Guests exchanged ideas, the best kind of networking, over simple, authentic refreshments, including fresh palm wine.

Creativity With Purpose
Great creativity must be human-obsessed. Kusuum Home understands this. They announced that a portion of the proceeds from every wallpaper sale will go to the W&M Foundation, directly supporting sickle-cell awareness and crucial sensitisation programs in rural Ghana.

Kusuum Home, Culture, Interior Design,

This isn't just corporate social responsibility. This is the integrity of the brand in action. The night closed, leaving behind something more meaningful than a successful launch: a new cultural benchmark for African design.

Kusuum Home
Kusuum Home is an African interior-furnishing brand that exists to elevate heritage. E&P takes over Black Volta and Sankofa Gold projects after years of delay

The transaction, registered with the Registrar of Companies and approved by the Minerals Commission, ends nearly two decades of under-investment, legal disputes, and capital shortfalls that kept the concessions dormant. E&P announced that it has secured funding to begin mine development and has committed to repaying verified debts associated with the projects.
