The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), in partnership with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), hosted the inaugural ICMA West Africa Conference in Accra.
The conference brought together key stakeholders from across the capital markets ecosystem including regulators, policymakers, central banks, commercial banks, capital market players, and fintech innovators to explore the evolving landscape of West Africa’s bond markets.
The conference explored key themes including Africa’s macroeconomic outlook, regulatory reforms, resilient bond market development, strategies to boost liquidity, investment in market infrastructure, and the role of fintech and digitalisation in bond markets.
In her remarks, the Managing Director of Ghana Stock Exchange, said,’’ By convening thought leaders and market participants from across the region and beyond, we are creating a platform for collaboration, innovation, and the advancement of efficient, transparent, and resilient capital markets.”
