Here Are 3 Reasons Why You Should Join The Accra By Night Tour

The Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) is embarking on a new initiative, the Accra by Night Tour, to showcase the city's vibrant nightlife and cultural heritage.

This tour aims to provide visitors with a unique experience of Accra's evening atmosphere, highlighting its entertainment, food, and historical landmarks.

A 24-Hour Economy Initiative

The Accra by Night Tour is inspired by the government's 24-hour economy initiative, which aims to boost economic activity and employment opportunities. By offering evening tours, GTDC hopes to attract more visitors to the city and provide them with a more comprehensive experience of Accra's culture and entertainment.

As Chantel Amewu, Marketing Officer at GTDC, explains on GTV Breakfast show, "We want to give visitors the opportunity to experience Accra's nightlife and cultural heritage in a unique and exciting way. The Accra by Night Tour is a great way to showcase the city's vibrant atmosphere and promote Ghana's tourism industry."

Exploring Accra's Nightlife

The tour will take visitors to famous landmarks such as Jamestown, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the bustling streets of Osu and among others. The tour will be conducted on a double-decker bus, providing a unique perspective on the city's nightlife. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Accra's street food, music, and entertainment, including traditional Ghanaian dishes like kebabs, kelewele and the likes.

The company has also partnered with transport operators to provide special packages for tourists, including a mobile museum that brings exhibits to visitors instead of requiring them to visit a physical museum.
