A devastating fire outbreak swept through a section of the Dodowa Market on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, destroying several shops and goods worth thousands of Ghana cedis. The timely intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and community members prevented the flames from spreading to adjoining stalls and nearby properties.
Preliminary reports suggest a possible electrical fault may have caused the fire. However, a full-scale investigation has been initiated by the Assembly in collaboration with the GNFS to determine the exact cause of the outbreak.
