MTN Ghana has demonstrated its commitment to promoting Ghanaian culture and supporting local communities by donating GH¢32,000 to the Asogli Yam Festival. The donation, which includes a cash component of GH¢30,000 and airtime worth GH¢2,000, was made during the festival's celebration on October 3, 2025.
Peter Bimpeh, Senior Manager of the Southeast Business District, represented MTN Ghana at the event, where he praised the leadership of Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV for his visionary leadership in promoting development and enhancing the image of the chieftaincy institution in Ghana and beyond.
We are proud to stand with you, not just in celebration but also in partnership," Bimpeh said. "The Yam Festival's emphasis on gratitude, togetherness, and renewal mirrors MTN's own mission to connect people, families, and businesses across Ghana and beyond."

The theme for this year's festival was "Together in honesty and purpose, we build a just, peaceful, and prosperous nation." Bimpeh noted that this theme is timely and profound, calling on Ghanaians to work together towards building a nation that is peaceful, just, and prosperous.
We believe festivals are essential to our cultural heritage and play a significant role in the socio-economic growth of communities," Bimpeh added. "This is why MTN Ghana supports over 40 festivals annually across the country."
The donation was made as part of MTN Ghana's efforts to support the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and promote community development. The company also set up experiential centers at strategic locations during the festival to provide easy access to its products and services.
