MTN Ghana and MTN Republic (a social group of journalists) joined the people of Akyem Ati Amanfrom in the Eastern Region to bid farewell to the late Nana Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng, Apagyahene of Ati Amanfrom, a renowned journalist and former Chairman of the National Media Commission. He passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 74.

Nana Gyan-Apenteng was a veteran journalist and media statesman who made significant contributions to Ghana's media landscape. He served as Chairman of the National Media Commission and President of the Ghana Association of Writers, advocating for press freedom and creative expression.

MTN Ghana had a long-standing relationship with Nana Gyan-Apenteng, who worked with the company as a media trainer and communications consultant. His legacy extends beyond his impressive resume, with a profound impact on the media fraternity and the communities he served.
He was a dear friend, mentor, and guide who played a significant role in shaping our team's media engagement strategies," said MTN Ghana in a tribute. "His ability to connect with people from all walks of life was remarkable, and his pet names for our team members will always bring smiles to our faces."

Nana Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng is survived by his five beloved children. His legacy will continue to inspire a new generation of media practitioners and advocates.
