Enterprise Group commits to support local firms

 


The Marketing Manager of Enterprise Insurance, Mark Addison, has expressed the resolve of Enterprise Group to support the growth of local businesses through the provision of solutions to aid in their risk-mitigation.

As a result, he said the insurance firm seeks to partner other private sector players to accelerate to build and enhance their competences in order to unlock their potential to become global giants.

At an exhibition dubbed “This is Ghana Exhibition” in Accra, Addison stated that the Enterprise Group will continue to offer unique and tailor-made solutions for all businesses in the country.

The Enterprise Group sponsored ‘This is Ghana Exhibition’ organised to showcase local business innovation and encourage Ghanaians to consume locally made products.

The exhibition, which took place over a two-day period, brought together over 200 local businesses including local SMEs, start-ups, home grown businesses, and indigenous corporate bodies.

The exhibitors specialised in high-quality products and services in agribusiness, insurance, technology, arts and crafts, health, as well as food and beverages to the satisfaction of both vendors and patrons.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Raza, both endorsed the initiative and visited several exhibitors.

Addison said since the establishment of Enterprise Group in 1924, it had provided the very best in insurance services to customers and supported businesses of stakeholders.

Enterprise Insurance is independently rated in the AA category by the Global Rating Agency of South Africa, which means we have a very high claims paying ability.

“For our clients this simply means we have the financial strength and ability to ensure that all valid claims are promptly settled,” he said.

  The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has expressed frustration over the challenges faced in securing electricity for schools across the country. During their 62nd Annual Conference, held in Tamale from October 7 to 11, CHASS voiced concerns about the impact of prepaid electricity meters on their operations. In a statement, CHASS highlighted that the use of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) prepaid meters in schools is worsening the financial strain on headteachers. CHASS is extremely surprised as to why its members should be burdened with the responsibility of pre-financing the supply of electricity for classrooms, libraries, dormitories, dining halls, laboratories, and other academic purposes," the statement read. CHASS called for the government's immediate intervention, urging the shift from prepaid to postpaid meters to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply.
