GSE: Enterprise leads equities in value and volume traded

 


Enterprise Group [EGL] at the end of trading session on Wednesday emerged as the most traded stock on the bourse leading all equities in value and volume traded.

Shares of EGL accounted for 58.35% of the total value traded. The total volume traded of the equity was 689,624.

Following EGL as the next most traded stock on Wednesday, was Standard Chartered Bank with value and volume trades of GHS 474,654 and 23,382 respectively.

CAL, MTN and PBC stocks emerged the third, fourth and fifth most traded equities on the bourse on Wednesday respectively.

A total of 256,510 shares valued at GH¢1,181,934.29 was traded on  the day. Compared with the previous GSE trading day (September  6), Wednesday’s data shows an 80.28% decrease in volume traded as well as a 0.65% increase in trade turnover.

Meanwhile, on a fourth day running, the Accra Bourse did not record any change at the close of the trading session.

The GSE-CI closed at  2,508.99 points, the same mark as it opened, representing a YTD  return of -10.05%. The GSE-FSI also maintained its value to close  trading at 2,079.94 points translating into a YTD return of -3.34%.
