Supposing you have only 24 hours to live, what will you spend it doing?

Motivational speaker and playwright Uncle James Ebo Whyte of Roverman Productions believes if you answer that question truthfully and spend your time doing just that, a great feat awaits you.

And have you ever thought about anything you think you cannot live without? Could it be your mobile phone, laptop, job or your loved one? He says these don’t count much if you really must make a choice, so search deeper and the answer will equip you with the right priorities in life.

On Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Monday, Ebo’s Food for Thought turned out of life’s rare mirrors – a window to let in some clear, bright light shine on your person. The questions are worth your answers.

Imagine yourself standing in front of God at the end of your life, what account will you give of your life and what you did with it? While at it, remember that we are all stewards of God and one day we will be called upon to give account of our stewardship - what we did with our lives, talents and opportunities. Start preparing for that encounter.

Or what about if you are put on trial for claiming to be what you say you are; would there be enough evidence to convict you? (On the flip side, would you have enough evidence to back your case as to exonerate, acquit and discharge you?) If for instance you claim to be a Christian and you were tried for being one, would there be enough evidence to convict you? If you claim to be a loving husband or a loving wife, and you are tried for that, would there be enough evidence to convict you? If there would not be enough evidence to convict you, then don’t kill yourself, you are a hypocrite.

And if everyone was like you, what would the world be – a better place or a failed, miserable lot? And if you owned the company you work for, would you hire a person like you?

For Employers only: If you did not own your company, would you have liked to work there? Take another look at the environment and conditions under which your workers work and ask yourself if you would have liked to work there under those conditions if you were not the owner of the company.
