 The Techiman Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Bono East Regional Office of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, has undertaken a fumigation exercise at major public facilities in Techiman as part of efforts to prevent disease outbreaks and improve environmental sanitation. The exercise covered the Techiman Central Market, slaughterhouse, public toilets and the dumping site at Fiaso. Speaking to Classic FM News, the Bono East Regional Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Benedict Awuah, said the exercise was aimed at protecting residents from diseases and creating a cleaner and healthier environment.  Zoomlion Ghana Limited has intensified its seven-day disinfection and disinfestation exercise across the Oti Region as part of efforts to prevent disease outbreaks and improve environmental sanitation following recent flooding in parts of the country. The exercise, which commenced simultaneously in the Krachi East and West Municipalities, is expected to cover all nine Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the region. It is being undertaken in collaboration with the respective Assemblies, which have identified priority areas requiring the intervention.
