The Ghana Chamber of Mines has launched the 12th edition of the Ghana Mining Industry Awards (GMIA), officially opening nominations to recognise outstanding achievements and best practices across the country's mining sector. The awards, which celebrate excellence in mining, are open to mining companies, contractors, service providers and industry professionals whose work made a significant impact during the 2025 reporting year. Speaking at the launch in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, described the awards as one of the industry's most respected recognition platforms, designed to reward excellence, innovation and responsible mining.
