MTN organizes fitness walk for media partners






 Ghana’s mobile telecommunications giant, MTN, over the weekend organized a fitness walk for its media partners.

Also known as ‘MTN Media Republic’, the programme attracted participants from selected media houses and media associations such as Journalists for Business Advocacy, Sports Writers Association of Ghana, (SWAG) Network of Communication Reporters (NCR)  among others.

The 5.9 km walk begun from the Ayi Mensah toll booth to Peduasi and later converged at Aburi Gardens in the Eastern Region.

The participants were taken through a lot of physical activities including aerobics by fitness instructors from the Mental Catalyst Club.

The programme, was the first of its kind organized by the company. It was championed by the Corporate Communications Department of MTN to improve the health of journalists.

Speaking after the programme, the Corporate Communications Manager of MTN Georgina Asare Fiagbenu thanked the Management of the Mental Catalyst Club for partnering with her outfit to hold a successful event.

Some of the participants who were full of praises for the Management of MTN made an appeal for the programme to be made an annual event.

E&P takes over Black Volta and Sankofa Gold projects after years of delay

 Indigenous mining firm Engineers & Planners (E&P) has acquired Azumah Resources Ghana Ltd and Upwest Resources Ghana Ltd, taking full control of the long-stalled Black Volta and Sankofa gold concessions in the Upper West Region.
