Fan Milk apologises for Achimota-Tesano overhead truck accident

Fan Milk PLC has apologised to motorists and the public for the inconvenience caused by a truck accident involving one of its third-party logistics partners.

The incident occurred on the Achimota-Tesano overhead bridge on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025.

In a statement, the company expressed regret over the incident, which resulted in significant traffic congestion in the area.

The truck, operated by Adwenpa Transport Services Limited, was not carrying any products at the time of the accident.

Fortunately, no injuries, fatalities, or damage to other vehicles were reported.

Fan Milk assured the public that its logistics partner is actively collaborating with authorities to investigate the cause of the accident and expedite the removal of the truck to restore normal traffic flow.

“Adwenpa is collaborating with the authorities to review this unfortunate incident. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused roads users, the community and motorists using this route,” the company stated.

The truck is said to have toppled, leaving vehicles to navigate the area using a single lane. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

The truck driver, who was the only person on board, escaped unharmed.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said the driver claimed another vehicle abruptly crossed his path, forcing him to take evasive action.

This manoeuvre caused him to lose control of the truck, leading to the accident.
