Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea Set for Premier League Showdown in MTN FA Cup Quarterfinals

The 2024/25 MTN FA Cup quarterfinal draw has set the stage for an exciting all-Premier League clash, as Bechem United, former champions in 2016, prepare to host Berekum Chelsea. Both teams have been dominant forces in the competition and will be aiming for a place in the last four.

Berekum Chelsea, who were eliminated last season by Nsoatreman FC, enter the tie with a point to prove as they seek to reclaim lost glory. Meanwhile, Bechem United are on a quest for a second FA Cup title, making this fixture a high-stakes battle.

In other quarterfinal matches, Attram De Visser Academy will take on PAC Academy in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, while Karela United face Golden Kick in a potentially tricky fixture. True Democracy, a rising force in the Division One League, will meet the winner of the delayed Kotoko vs. Sekondi Eleven Wise clash set for March 12.

Speaking at the draw event, George Naatey, Senior Manager, Brands and Communication Marketing Services at MTN, highlighted the company’s dedication to Ghanaian football, stating, “At MTN Ghana, we believe in the power of football to inspire and transform lives. That is why we remain committed to investing in Ghanaian football.”

He urged fans to support their teams in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final, emphasizing the tournament’s role in developing local talent.

MTN has been the headline sponsor of the FA Cup since 2010, playing a key role in strengthening Ghana’s football ecosystem. The quarterfinal fixtures will take place from March 28 to March 31,2025.
