Celebrating 26 Years In Media & More- By God's Grace

Wheeew ! How time flies !!!

Earlier this year, I marked off my 26years in MEDIA - growing and supporting Local, African & International Media Brands.

😍 I started off as an on-air TV and Radio Presenter from 1999 and and eventually went into Leadership, Technical Set up, & Growth of Media Assets, Development of Talents & Partnerships, Content Curation & Aquisition, etc from 2008 to date.

😍 I am happy to share my 26 years journey with the following key brands I have contributed to and have been instrumental to my growth :

😍 Fontomfrom TV where it all started in 1999 at age 16. Experiences with Fox Fm, Spirit Fm, Family Tree Entertainment (Obour), Corporate Guardian Magazine and Business Week Newspaper, TV Africa and consultancy for Angel TV. At age 24, I helped set up and managed Crystal TV Plus, Crystal TV Xtra, Crystal TV Prime under the Mentorship of the visionary Chief Crystal Djirackor who laid my foundation in Engineering (Media). I joined the Multimedia group in 2011 as Channel Manager at age 26years for The Jesus Channel, 4Kids Channel, Cine Afrik and later I created and managed Joy Prime TV. I can’t forget Hitz Fm. I set up Zylofon TV and Wesleyan TV (the Methodist Church Ghana) in Accra as Turnkey projects. Then to my current EIB Network family - GHOne TV, Agoo TV, Starr Fm, Kasapa Fm etc. I say thank you.

Of course I cannot forget my over a decade relationship with the BBC and the various Focus on Africa teams from London to Kenya, as well as all other International and local brands I’ve supported and consulted for - forgive me if I left you out.

😍 Fun fact : In between I enjoyed some Acting roles with Actress Empress Mcbrown & Ciifa Studios (😜I shock you) and also led the creation of Ghana’s first locally assembled computers (AKA Computers) at age 23 with Ghana’s IT Pioneer, Kofi Kludjeson (my Papa will kill me if I don’t mention this😛). I also consulted for the Zimbabwean Embassy in Ghana on Trade and Promotions from 2008 under the mentorship of the adorable H.E PT Musaka.

😍What humbles me more is that throughout this 26years I have been a LEARNER and kept developing my Capacities and Capabilities ( Young people, take a cue).
Family, friends and my business partners have seen me harness various skills and talents, built and managed multiple businesses as an Entrepreneur from the ground up including Advertising, Business & International Trade Consultancy Practice, built our first Baby Diaper brand, a digital Media brand, and the Investment & Management of Brand Franchises of MTN, DHL and Ecobank. I have been Championing the Gospel before and after my official Ordination into Ministry, become a global Keynote Speaker, Upskilling & Lecturing on many topics, and passionately Advocating for Women, Youth, Esports, and Agriculture in Ghana, across Africa and the World, Leading the Establishment of League of Extraordinary Women and Women in Sustainability Africa and empowering women for 18 years now, Chairing and also sitting on numerous Boards, amongst others.

😍I could never achieve this without the Holy Spirit in me, Jesus Christ by my side and my God who comforts me on all sides, irrespective of the storms and also the impediments I face each day - being a woman and starting my leadership roles from a very young age.

I am eternally grateful for all who have genuinely showed me love, supported me and cheered me on.
For as you have done for me, may the good Lord replenish you in many folds.

And for my detractors, thank you - for you have become the backdrop that makes the table set before me, honourable.

😍To my Alma mater : University of Ghana Business School, CIM Ghana/UK, Anhalt University - Germany, Ghana Technology University College, Mountcrest University, Ghana School of Law, I say thank you for holding my hand. And to my lovely Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ High School, I say Thank you for giving me a head start in my Media Career and for that, you will always have my heart.

I also thank all who have recognized my contributions over the years and awarded or honored me accordingly.

When all is said and done in this life, nothing matters , ONLY the IMPACT WE LEAVE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS matters. Therefore reach out and mentor or coach someone today by impacting a skill or life lessons.

Thank you 🙏🏿

Fitch Solutions retains 2025 growth rate projection at 4.2%

Fitch Solutions has reaffirmed its projection that Ghana’s economy will expand by 4.2% in 2025. This estimate slightly exceeds the International Monetary Fund’s forecast of 4% and the World Bank’s projection of 3.9%. The UK-based research firm attributes its outlook to historically high gold prices, which are expected to cushion the Ghanaian economy against a global slowdown triggered by rising tariffs. Higher gold prices are anticipated to strengthen government revenue, enhance foreign exchange earnings, and help sustain currency stability. The report also highlights that Ghana is relatively less vulnerable to increasing trade restrictions from the United States, given that its primary exports—gold and crude oil—are not directly affected by the tariffs introduced by President Trump’s administration. Moreover, the US constitutes only about 4% to 5% of Ghana’s total exports. In contrast, Ghana’s trade relations are more heavily oriented toward China and European countries, particul...

BoG injects $20m into FX market to support 11 BDCs

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has injected $20 million into the foreign exchange market in the latest round of its forward FX auction targeted at Bulk Oil Distribution Companies (BDCs). The intervention, which benefited eleven BDCs, is part of the central bank’s broader strategy to stabilise the cedi and ensure price stability in the petroleum downstream sector. Held on Tuesday, April 29, the auction was priced at a locked exchange rate of GHS 14.28 to the US dollar, with bid offers ranging from GHS 13.85 to GHS 15.55. This move reflects the BoG’s continued effort to deepen forex liquidity and safeguard the domestic fuel supply chain against volatility in global energy markets. By directly supplying FX to BDCs, the central bank seeks to ease pressure on the interbank market, guarantee the uninterrupted flow of petroleum products, and mitigate the pass-through effects of exchange rate fluctuations on fuel prices. The $20 million disbursement forms part of a $120 million programme for th...
