President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the No Fee Stress Initiative has already supported over 152,000 first-year students in public tertiary institutions.
He added that the number of beneficiaries is expected to rise to 220,000 this year.
Speaking on the programme’s expansion during the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Friday, February 27, President Mahama also shared good news for law students.

In collaboration with the Students’ Loans Trust Fund, Ghanaian law students will now have access to student loans to support their legal education.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to ease financial burdens for students and increase access to higher education across the country.
